How to Order Custom Cannulae

PlasticsOne offers the convenience of custom cutting cannulae before they ship. This saves you the time and energy of making and cutting the parts yourself. Custom cut to fit your exact specifications, we have a standardized process in place to ensure consistency.

Guide lengths must be specified below the plastic pedestal.

For internals and dummies: Fit (LENGTH OF GUIDE) (GUIDE PART#) with a (LENGTH) projection.

For Custom Length Cannulas

Guide CannulasSpecify length of the stainless steel tubing below the plastic pedestal.

Ex: C313G/Spc 6mm

Internal CannulasSpecify the length of the Guide Cannula it is to fit and what projection beyond the tip is needed.

Ex: C313I/Spc to fit 6mm C313G with 0.5mm projection

Dummy CannulasSame as for Internal Cannulas.

 

Ex: C313I/Spc to fit 6mm C313G without  projection

Screw-Guide

Guides a 26ga syringe needle to injection site. Consists of a stainless-steel screw 1/16″ (1.6mm) shaft length. Screws with shaft lengths of 2.4mm and 3.2mm are also available.
Eliminates the need for mounting screws and cranioplasty cement.

Screw Head Diameter: 2.5mm (.10″).
Screw Shaft Diameter: 1.57mm (.62″)

Single Guide Cannula for Mice

Guides Internal Cannula to injection site. Consists of a threaded cylindrical plastic pedestal molded around a piece of stainless steel tubing that extends below the pedestal. The pedestal is secured with cranioplastic cement and mounting screws or cyanoacrylate gel. The 2mm pedestal Guide Cannula is too short to use a regular Dummy Cannula. Pedestal Diameter. 3.5 mm (.138″).

Ultra-Sensitive Startle Enclosure

THIN WALL SMALL/MEDIUM ENCLOSURE

Get the best response with our new thin wall startle enclosure.  This new enclosure is 4X as sensitive as the original enclosure. The thin wall provides less obstruction between test subject and sensor providing a clear response for low weight animals.

The rubber feet eliminate the docking cups needed for metal feet enclosures removing the need for the base platform.  By placing the enclosure on the floor of the cabinet variability of response is reduced.  The enclsoure connects and calibrates the same as the old enclsoure making it an easy transition to upgrade.
